FROGMAN RACING

Hello all,

First off I'd like to say a heartfelt "THANKS" to all of you who have helped out in 1998 and to wish everyone a happy new year. I couldn't have done it without you!

A few weeks ago we had our last race weekend of the year and it was COLD! Most of us spent the entire day in our leathers, gloves and helmet sitting in our vans between races. But, HEY! "THAT'S RACING!" At least the sun was shining all day but the breeze came up to creat interesting racing as the day progressed.

I finished up my 1998 race season scoring 3rd in the 500 Singles race, 4th in Lightweight Vintage & 5th in Formula Singles races that day. I also ended up earning 15th in the WSMC OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SERIES for 1998 (besting more than a thousand racers). My indivual class championship standings for 1998 are 3rd in the 500 Singles and Lightweight Vintage classes as well as 4th in the Formula Singles at Willow Springs International Raceway. I didn't make my goal of top 10, but 15th is pretty darned close and still better than the previous years 19th overall... My current race numbers will stay the same for 1999.

Anyways, I did better than most, and got beaten by a few. Overall I had a spectacular year with only one crash but 2 DNF's from blown up motors.... Oh well, 1999 is here this coming weekend and I'm ready once again! My 1999 plans include; the Willow Springs 24 Hour Endurance Race, The California State Championship Series, AHRMA Sears Point and Willow Springs rounds and select (if not all) WSMC events. I am still trying to secure funding for a trip to Daytona this year but have had several setbacks so we shall see...
