Progressive Auto Art was founded in 1994 and open for business in 1995 by Steve Allen and Jack Foster. April 1999 saw the business evolve as the 2 went their seperate ways with Steve selling his interest to Ron Ferrell and Jack remaining. Progressive Auto Art will continue to grow and evolve but ALWAYS will stick to the original mission which is to do high quality work in a timely manner. Steve is working towards another venture... Life goes on!
Co-founder Jack
Foster has 21 years in high quality refinishing, restoration,
fabrication, and collision repair experience. He is I-Car Trained and ASE
Certified. Being able to stick with the most tedious of jobs without cutting corners
and doing excellent work is his trademark. His painting abilities are unrivaled
here on the Central Coast. Many of his past clients have been involved in local car
club and national concours events, receiving top honors. Others have been featured
in magazines and participate in national level racing events.
New owner Ron
Ferrell was formerly with Halibrand Engineering (racing transmissions, rear
ends, and mag wheels) and AZH Sheet Metal Fabrication. He is also a longtime
contractor, inspector (one of only 35 Certified Professional Inspectors (CPI) in
California) and business owner. Being very mechanically inclined and detail
oriented, his background will ensure close regulation of daily business operations and
producing quality work.
Former owner and co-founder Steve Allen has a website to promote his latest
ventures located at http://www.thegrid.net/frogman
and can be reached via Email <[email protected]>
but is no longer connected with this business. If you have any questions regarding
Progressive Auto Art, please call (805)541-9063 and speak to Jack or Ron.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
IF IT IS WORTH DOING, THEN IT IS WORTH DOING RIGHT!
We have noticed a trend within the auto body industry for shops to shy
away from big, often very drawn out, tediously difficult and expensive projects. We
also see that most restorations or street rod projects often are used only as *filler* and
spend more time collecting dust than making it. Even simple, complete paint jobs are
not often finished in a timely manner. We have opened our facility to cater to those
enthusiasts who desire competent, high quality work done in a timely manner. We are
a shop where our main focus is to build street rods and complete restorations, not just a
collision shop that says we do those tasks.
This is what we love to do.
The founders, Steve & Jack.
